The Music Never Dies
You are the old song playing in my head
The one everyone knows, but cannot sing
They’ve all forgotten every word, so I said
Listen to the music that through my head does ring
You stand up among the crowd, step up to take my hand
We freeze upon the stage and gaze into each other’s eyes
You smiled at me and said I hope you always understand
Anything said about me is tainted by their lies
The spotlights shine bright as the sun
As we begin to sing the song
Though they forgot it seems we’ve won
This moment seems to last so long
I love you already, though it hasn’t been long
We’ll be together as long as someone sings this song
