The Lake of Life
If I am water than life is my lake
It’s constant twists and turns making me green
Navigating it though is no simple cake
Whipping winds of sorrow, endless and mean
And yet life is never said to be plain
Because I know if I hold strong and true
Sadness and sorrow shall never be main
And the sky will return to it’s bright blue
So I forever continue wishing
That one thing will change no matter how small
I ignore all the ignorant dishing
Just keep myself up and always stand tall
Until I decide life’s not hard to read
And I move gladly on with life my stead
