God and His Christmas Dove
Why should I receive while others have none?
The gift of giving and gratitude is all that matters.
They say all my troubles will soon be gone,
Maybe it’s true- the smell of evergreen and the bells that clatter.
Walking the empty streets at night,
Flurrying lightly and the streetlamps glowing,
Looking up, flakes covering the dim light,
Wishing it wouldn’t stop snowing.
Christmas Eve, a time of eternal love;
Why can’t everything be the same?
God will send his white dove,
A symbol that the past is gone, the present came.
Listening to the sound of the snow falling,
I feel Christmas Eve calling…
