Nightmares
The night crawling into their sleepy eyes,
Monsters of the night make them all despise
The world and place possible, through their dreams
Each night full of adventures, their own themes.
Nights with terrors filling children’s young minds
Clueless parents are so far behind.
Their bright and youthful souls molded like clay
Quit sleeping in the dark, missing their days.
People watching terror grow on their faces
As the kids try to escape night’s embraces
Eyes drift close during all their classes
Sleepy-eyed kids who make up the masses
Nobody knows why these children are scared
Except the sly monsters from their nightmares
