scars

i have scars inside of me,
keeping me from being free,
these scars no one knows about,
maybe they are good for me. but that i doubt,
i got them from people hurting me,
they wouldnt let me be,
at least they taught me a lesson,
but im just guessin,
that these scars have changed my life,
i think it kept me from the knife,
of maybe they are leading me to it,
maybe. bit by bit.
