Please
Your smell still clings to all my clothes, a stain
That can be easily removed. Your voice
Speaks in my head, it’s making me insane
To never see the lips, that form the words,
Whose taste still lingers on my own, whose touch
Still tingles on my neck. Easy things to leave
Behind. They fade to dark, and nothing much
Remains to take their place. It’s better now.
So here I am with you, clinging, today.
Please, when you go, leave nothing here to stay.
