When I sit alone singing my own song,
The air that blows by my face is frigid,
Then I see you and know you'll sing along,
I hear you sing and know you are that kid,
You are the one that's always there for me,
When you hold my hand I know it's alright,
It is now all too clear for me to see,
That you are the only friend in my sight,
How you are always standing by my side,
And through it all I am standing by yours,
Throughout this bumpy roller coaster ride,
I know that there are only open doors,
From ow'er days as kids until the end,
I will always know that you are my friend.
