Cannot wait to go to Jeju Island
A school trip that will never be outshone
Everyone is here including my friends
Nothing more fun that could ever be known
The Sewol ship, so exhilerating
Time on the water is passing by fast
But why is it that my soup is tilting?
No one thought that this day would be our last
“Stay in place, and things will be okay”
.. Is what we are told by our protectors
They have escaped, so we can only pray
Soon the ship will drown under the water
My friends and family are in distress
We are kids, we should be told what is best

This piece is about the MV Sewol sinking of April 14, 2016. Ever since learning about this case, I cannot help but constantly think about the tragic deaths of the young victims, and how they were so poorly deceived. This case could have been completely preventable.
