To the books that are on my shelf
You bring paradise to my life
A paradise for only myself
Without you I would be in strife
Others might find you boring
While I find delight
Because you are oh so adoring
You will always be my light
The longer i’m with you
The more you pull me in
With this, I swear to be true
For our real journey is yet to begin
For even when the book ends
You know you will be my closest friend
