The empty abyss of an eternal night swirls through her,

Filling each and every corner of the soul with nothing.

Somewhere, a heart beats along with her own, both enduring

A life that’s losing its pulse, fading faster and faster;

She’s tired and wants to sleep, but knows the world snuffs dreamers.

A song rich in the warmth of purple finds her, embracing

Her damaged spirit with arms of lyrical welcoming.

The majesty of the soul’s purple rhythm, her breather,

Fends off the tenacious shadows of self-hate, of self-doubt,

As the explosion of purple manifests her rebirth,

Granting her a new melody, all so she can shout out

“I am free” as she dances and twirls upon the wine earth.

Her bright rejoice carries for all to hear upon the wind,

What a wonder! She twinkled purple by the way she grinned.

This sonnet is heavily inspired by the music of BTS, and by the essence of the spiritual characteristics of purple. Reflect on it. Identify with the words and the message. :)

It's a great poem, but be aware of using pop psychology terms like self hate in poetry. Make sure your word choice reflects the vibe you're trying give off, whether literary or casual.
