I Wonder
I wonder why I look at you,
When you are not there anymore.
I wonder why I try to fight this lock,
When you were the one to open the door.
Seeing shadows that turn to light.
I see you day in and at night.
Looking at the sky I ask why,
If I will live or will I die?
I wonder why I embrace you,
When you are the air that I grasp.
I wonder why the world turns slow,
When you were the only one that made it fast.
Showing great sadness for myself,
I found the sun in your big eyes.
Looking at myself, I ask why,
Will I get it after a thousand tries?
I wonder why I breathe in vast space,
When you are the breath I can take.
I wonder why I still have a pulse,
When you were the only beat my heart could take.
