Spartacus. {Save me?}
The lady who lives on Mars
Never wanted to be found
She felt safe in the storm
And wind raging all around
So I helped her to escape to space
Until she found her mind again
But will you tell me when you've
Found the way out of this galaxy?
My heart doesn't belong with you,
I'm sorry but it's true,
You never saw my eyes the way
I knew that yours were blue
I'll have to leave your mind inside
I know you're looking for
A way to climb the ladder up
The mountain to your door
From where the light is coming out
And those red flowers grow,
So you will never know
The dark side of this place,
The darkness of my heart.
Nothing is easier than telling the truth
Black walls and blank expressions
Keep us locked in desert sessions,
Velvet lives and twisted minds
Are ruining our lives
And so we fight
Once taken by fear,
When you are near
I feel secure
Hold on to me dear,
I'll keep you safe and make
The monsters go away,
I'll keep you safeaway
Once taken by fear,
When you are near
I feel secure
Hold on to me dear,
I'll keep you safe and make
The monsters go away,
I'll keep you safeaway
I'd rather be blind than see this cruel world,
I'd rather see your face than be blind,
you'll always be free, you're in my mind . . .
How long have you been waiting for a sign?
Haven't you ever wondered why
I keep my papers in my head and the
Blade beneath my bed?
I don't have to fight the monster,
He'll be fighting me instead.
No one can stop the battle when it's
Already quite through.
The blood is flowing faster,
And you just don't know what to do,
So you stand up even taller, and you raise
Your face up high,
The sign is in the morning sun,
It's written in the sky by the bird of no despair
He's been waiting for you there for all your
Life to show you strife is just a show,
You didn't know that help could help you,
But it seems that when my eyes were closed
The moon gave way to light, and
The sky is blue again and now I do not need to fight.
I'll hold on till tonight and keep you
Safe from the storm.
Just hold my hand, my promised land,
And I will keep you warm.

This piece was written when i was in a bad place. I was depressed and suicidal, all that i was living for was music and the girl i loved. She's gone now, but i wrote this poem for her, which i turned into a song. It reminds me of her, and how much i yearned to be anywhere but here.
