A successful women is one who can build a firm foundation with bricks that others have thrown at her. ~ Anonymous

10 Years ago I was just a little girl

A picture perfect memory of unwanted history

Slamming doors, they were starting fights.

Mr. Wrong, and Mrs. Right.

I closed my eyes and held my breath

I couldn't bare to see the nothing that was left.

From broken picture frames to vows that were wrecked,

T'ill death do us apart, they swore they never said.

With tears in my eyes, I said don't let me go

Beneath all these lies, it's all I really know.

I'm seeking for something that can't be found

In the midst of these waves, I'm about to drown.

A blade to my heart and I was all done,

A cry for help this game they've won.

These battle scars they left inside

Beneath a mask, i'm trying to hide.

The clock stikes 12, the mascarade is done,

So i'm headed back to where I came from.

All this time I was trying to be

everyone else except for me.

This is the first song that I have ever wrote. It is talking about my background, and my story. I would really appreciate it if you would like, comment, and rate so that I know what you think of it, and what I should work on.
