Soundless
Deafening silence rings out
Shortened cries smothered
Countless agonizing breaths
Swallowed by no sound.
Banished voices whisper
Glazed eyes built of tears
Ragged breaths
Swallowed by no sound.
Accusation glares
Roaring, yet invisible
Unconsolable breaths
swallowed by no sound.
Uncontrollable breaths
Relieved by our sound.

Silence is always the worst punishment, in my opinion, and I wanted to write a piece about someone detaching themselves from you. The poem is more abstract and once I had wriiten it I realised it had more than one meaning. Now, as I read it, I can imagine lost, defenceless souls wandering, being ignored and denied; they have no one. How do you see it?
