Migraine
I have a migraine...
And the pills I take are desolations.
You have a dilemma.
You say "This isn't fair"
But it's the fare you pay
and your at your destination.
But you won't leave.
No, you just fuss and scream
and now I can't restrain
the pain in my brain.
You command me to explain
what's beneath the ink and I say
"All I can think is how do I get rid of this migraine."
"Take these..."
And I'm back to thinking.
And I've been thinking lately
I'm sick of sharing my thoughts
This mind belongs to me!
And this time I say what I mean so
I'll make the funeral arrangements
but you'll just plan to sleep.
Migraines are just a
reminder that you should breathe
But they're not what I need.
And should you say a deep exhale is whats needed
I'd say "Better you than me..."
Just drift into space
That's where my kind survive.
Until our lungs fill...
Then we die again...
I'll wake you when it's all over.
