My Home
(Verse One)
My home is not a slab of brick
Stuck together like some sort of trick
My home is not twenty feet high
Reaching for the light blue sky
It is not the typical expectation
For such a routine situation
I have a home made of flesh and bone
Forcing me to remember that I'm not alone
(Chorus)
My home isn't located on a street
Because I survive between the sheets
Of love and passion all from you
As I always have somewhere to turn to
People may think I'm out of the ordinary
But it's like a normal routine to me
Because my home isn't what you expect
As it's you and all the love I may get
(Verse Two)
My home isn't in the middle of nowhere
With no community that it must share
Rather it is a two man neighborhood
Living life the way it should
My home isn't in a crowded city
Where everything is shared like crazy
Nothing but peace arises here
And hopefully it will stay like that for many years
(Chorus)
My home isn't located on a street
Because I survive between the sheets
Of love and passion all from you
As I always have somewhere to turn to
People may think I'm out of the ordinary
But it's like a normal routine to me
Because my home isn't what you expect
As it's you and all the love I may get
(Bridge)
Yeah, my home is not concrete
As it isn't the most stable foundation you will meet
It breaks and falls every now and then
But it's nice to know I have a friend
To help me through the fire of remodeling
As we help to rebuild every last thing
My home will never collapse and stay down
Because it will always rise again from the ground
(Chorus)
My home isn't located on a street
Because I survive between the sheets
Of love and passion all from you
As I always have somewhere to turn to
People may think I'm out of the ordinary
But it's like a normal routine to me
Because my home isn't what you expect
As it's you and all the love I may get
