Neither Can I
I feel the old anger’s itch,
That burns me from the inside.
It causes the pain of an ugly twitch,
One that I just can no longer hide.
I need the beat of my emotion’s song,
Before the beast of my rage rises.
So run from my demon’s dawn,
For the day ahead has some surprises.
Where is the music for my pain?
Is this life just a realistic lie?
Shall no music make me sane?
Can you bare it? Neither can I!
Love was my way to your heart,
But yet you turn it to saddened sorrow.
I followed through and played my part,
But my love isn’t something you can borrow!
You told me that we were meant to be,
But it was all your sugared deceit.
I knew deep down your love wasn’t free,
But god do I wish there was a receipt!
Where is the love for my pain?
Is love but your lonely cry?
Shall your love make me tame?
Can you bare it? Neither can I!
