Another Tear Stained Letter
(Verse One)
Tears slowly shed
One by one onto an old rusted page
And even though you probably don't read these
This routine helps me relieve some of my rage
A picture perfect relationship
That went down the drain
And ended without a goodbye kiss
Leaves me here dealing with all this
(Chorus)
As the water works
Comes knocking on my front door
I know I have to ignore my wake up call
And continuing doing this some more
Postal air mail right to you
That contains another tear stained letter
With the same inked tattoo
That claims I still love you
(Verse Two)
I stop at every minute
To compose another work of art
But it's impossible to complete such a task
Without breaking my brittle heart
I watch as the time ticks by each night
Begging me to just give up
But I continue to carefully fight
Even though such a decision may not be right
(Chorus)
As the water works
Comes knocking on my front door
I know I have to ignore my wake up call
And continuing doing this some more
Postal air mail right to you
That contains another tear stained letter
With the same inked tattoo
That claims I still love you
(Bridge)
A life of loneliness
And no one to turn to but a couple of notes
Ones that remind me of us
Ones that I sat down and wrote
But no longer will I be eaten
By love's little monstrous demon
That I never even got to meet
Before my well known defeat
(Chorus)
As the water works
Comes knocking on my front door
I know I have to ignore my wake up call
And continuing doing this some more
Postal air mail right to you
That contains another tear stained letter
With the same inked tattoo
That claims I still love you
