Broken Roller Coaster
(Verse One)
Even though it’s completely clear
That your surrounded by tons of people
You can’t stop these sad tears
From rolling softly down your cheeks
Your fake smile has finally faded away
After all these years and months
Of pretending to be absolutely okay
When it was all just a serious act
(Chorus)
Riding on a coaster that’s going downhill
And won’t stop until it has gotten
To the middle of downtown Sadville
Then it will totally refuse to go back up
Or tell you how much longer
You’ll be stuck in that horrible place
It could be months, it could be lifelong
Until you can get off this broken roller coaster
(Verse Two)
The pain slowly eats away at you
And makes you feel half dead
I wonder if this is something I'll breakthrough
Or something that will never fade away?
I just don’t get why it’s targeting me
As its next, suffering victim
Because being happy was a breeze
And made life seem so much sweeter
(Chorus)
Riding on a coaster that’s going downhill
And won’t stop until it has gotten
To the middle of downtown Sadville
Then it will totally refuse to go back up
Or tell you how much longer
You’ll be stuck in that horrible place
It could be months, it could be lifelong
Until you can get off this broken roller coaster
(Bridge)
I just need to try and get this ride to start
Because I’m afraid that if I don’t
It will be forever broken and fallen apart
Because it currently has no intention
Of moving along right now on it’s own
So I have to take control of everything
Before true happiness is left unknown
And the concept of living is forgotten
(Chorus)
Riding on a coaster that’s going downhill
And won’t stop until it has gotten
To the middle of downtown Sadville
Then it will totally refuse to go back up
Or tell you how much longer
You’ll be stuck in that horrible place
It could be months, it could be lifelong
Until you can get off this broken roller coaster
