Glass Hearts
So you trusted your treasure into soft, caring hands,
Felt the warmth of a soul, the flame of desire.
But oh so fast, desire got more hot than you planned,
And has set those hands on fire.
Pulling away, you've been dropped down;
And youre falling as fast as you did for them.
Youre heart screams to stop, you dont hear a sound,
You just shatter into a layer of dust so thin.
Glass hearts break easy,
But theyre the most beautiful to see.
Ah, we can see everything,
But thats not a bad thing to me.
Fragile pieces put together;
Piercing fragments form eternal grace,
A broken heart isnt broken forever;
And fixing it shouldnt be a race.
Take your time and fall steadily,
So if you come to a stop,
You wont shatter like me;
And have some pieces lost.
Glass hearts break easy,
But theyre the most beautiful to see.
Ah, we can see everything,
But thats not a bad thing to me.
