River's Bed
Winding river follow me, down to that old willow tree
I skip and run down your muddy banks
And cross your stones to the tree leave's ranks
I duck beneath its swaying limbs and crest myself in the old trunk's bend
I look up through the canopy and watch white clouds pass by me
And when time comes for me to leave,
winding river, follow me.
