Goodbye
She cries herself to sleep every night,
praying that everything will be alright.
Worried about what they'll say,
When they find out that she's this way.
She puts on a happy face,
But the sadness always keeps up its pace.
She doesn't know where to go,
Just always goes with the flow.
She tries to say goodbye to the pain,
Saying that it's just a game.
She knows that it consumes her,
Asks "why is this happening to me sir?"
They tell her she's a misfit,
The flames in her heart are lit.
She knows it's more than that,
Just doesn't know how to explain that fact.
No one understands the pain,
Except those who've played the same game.
She wants to let her sadness free,
So she's left to be what she calls "me."
The last words she sputtered that day,
Is she wished that it would all go away.
Ending it all washed away the ghouls,
And released the demons from her soul.
