Flying free
Puppets on a string
All my life, you’ve been my puppeteer
These chains, had me bound to you
You use to protect me from my greatest fears
I have to run away, breakaway
To the world that’s out there somehow, someway
I need to tear apart from my constraints
Because I no longer belong to you
In the distance, there is a light
With this journey, there comes a fight
The words that make their way through my lips, are formulated by my own thoughts.
No asking yes, to get a no.
I’m flying free, I’m letting go.
