Teenage Rebellion
Parents, teaches, preachers of the world,
You look down on our culture,
Scoff at our problems
And laugh at us trying to understand whats around us.
If only you'd actually listen.
We fire short answers at you,
Disappear into our rooms,
Take off into the streets,
Make believe we are understood,
Make pretend that someone is listening,
Make the feeling that we are not alone
In this crowded room.
You can talk to us,
Talk us down to the ground.
Try to connect to us,
But an honest statement delivered
Then suddenly we're disappointments.
We reach out and are slapped down.
We're experiencing the world while we're free,
You're holding us down.
We've had no choice but to fight against your rule,
Teenage rebellion.
We're suffocated under the pressures of your life,
Dying to break out.
We're making ourselves seen by the world,
Firing flares in the air just to get a sign out,
We're here.
You wouldn't understand,
You forgot who you were long ago,
The passion died with your childhood,
Fuck you! Get out of my face!
I don't care what you think,
I don't care what you say,
Just leave me alone...
I'm going insane...
You can talk to us,
Talk us down to the ground.
Try to connect to us,
But an honest statement delivered
Then suddenly we're disappointments.
We reach out and are slapped down.
We're experiencing the world while we're free,
You're holding us down.
We've had no choice but to fight against your rule,
Teenage rebellion.
We're dying here,
You don't understand us anymore,
We'll just leave,
Some of us will return,
None of us will be the same.
We'll be...like you wanted us to be,
We'll be...what we always denied being,
We'll be...Dead inside.
The fire that once was has died,
Our teenage rebellion has died...
Goodbye, Goodbye.

I absolutely love it, and I tend not to like a lot of things. :)
I really like your sense of...life. You don't seem like an ignorant teenager (which is extremely rare these days) , and this poem very well written.
I daresay I'm jealous I didn't write it first. I especially like the final three lines.
