Nothing Quite Like Her
Spun gold can't shine like her.
Fine china can't compare.
One of a kind,
Unique and hard to find.
Been through a whole lot of hell
But she's been redeemed from that twisted spell.
Laid forth her offering.
Gave birth to four offspring.
Brought wisdom and laughter
You can't destroy that even if you hurt her.
Came here from her homeland to mistreated by her own man.
Now living proof there is a Lord,
Sitting on his throne, with shield and sword.
Spun gold can't shine like her.
Fine china can't compare.
Taught by her mother to live each day with delight, with laughter.
She's been called beautiful.
But told she should act mindful
And that will make her graceful.
Living proof she is a queen
Even though they call her obscene
Rushing through her scorching veins is a prayer of a better day.
Praying for the promise land,
Like the Hebrews toward Canaan
Making sure she is alright
To guide them all to the light.
