Apathetic Alibis
Every time she takes a hit,
she says, "I'm fine with it."
"I'm fine with it."
And every time she leaves him now,
she thinks she'll be found out.
He'll find her out.
And so she lets him in,
like she never left him,
let's her fear win.
And so she still tries,
to push her feelings aside,
welcomes apathetic alibis,
apathetic alibis.
