Garden of Hope
There once was a rose
In a garden of hope
And she sang us her beautiful songs out loud
That rose, she was perfect
But she didn’t know it
And the seed that she sprouted from was proud
One day that rose
She was ready to go
But the garden wasn’t ready to say goodbye
She left like a raindrop
The world came to a stop
She cleared up that blue morning sky
The world it seemed calm
We knew all along
That her roots would be with us wherever
If you listen closely
You can hear her preach softly
The words that once brought us together
The sun, it shone bright
Although it didn’t seem right
That a rose should be taken so quickly
But her love will take flight
Through the day and the night
And it’ll sing to our garden forever.
