Mannequin Modelling
You pretend it’s all normal
And everything’s okay
But no one’s ever seen you
Or ever heard you say
That you need some affection
Not just shallow attention
You need someone to care
But they’ve never really been there
Pull it together
Though you are alone
Never let them see
What happens in this home
Just talk like nothing’s wrong
Walk out before you’re gone
Angels and devils can never take hold
If you never face the dark/depths inside/of your soul
So we stand alone now
In heaven and hell now
But now they’re both the same
Because it never changes
This feeling always stays and
We’re all left here waiting
Waiting for an end to come
We’re alone and
This won’t go and…
I am done with all of this
