Sports in the summer and Christmas at winter
Candy, and ice cream and wood without splinters
Small shiny boxes with glistening rings
These are a few of my favorite things

Sand on the beaches and ice on the water
House with my sister and playing the daughter
Santa and all of the presents he brings
These are a few of my favorite things

Summer sun shining, and winter snow falling
Phones ringing often ‘cause friends keep on calling
Small baby cousins and food that they fling
These are a few of my favorite things

When my friends fight
When I get hurt
When I am crying
I simply remember my favorite things
And I don’t feel like dying
