Dumbstruck (Know It All)
When I was a kid I thought
My intelligence was the only thing I've got
Oh, but I learned the hardest way
I was the only one that knew what the penumbra really was
I thought knowing everything made me happy
When all it did was make me angry
Dumbstruck
Call me stupid
Bad luck
I will embrace it
I'm a smart-ass
But I'm playing dumb
'Cause all I ever wanted
Was to be free from being a success slave
Not being smart was all I ever wanted
'Cause all my parents cared about
Was that I had the big job
And the big money
But all it does is put to much pressure on me
I turned into a success slave
That can't tell the difference between perfect and excellent
It's overwhelming
It's killing me
But I was dumbstruck
Call me stupid
Bad luck
I will embrace it
I'm a smart-ass
But I'm playing dumb
'Cause all I ever wanted
Was to be free from being a success slave
Not being smart was all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
