Your Arrogance is my Despair
We’re walkin’ round in circles
A game of truth or dare
And I can’t seem to notice
We’re not gettin’ anywhere
You say you’re right
I think you’re wrong
The clock is ticking on and on
I try to build a passage through
But nothing comes across to you
The days keep chasing ‘way the sun
I fear my ignorance has died
You shot it with that spiteful gun
And killed it when you lied
We’re walkin’ round in circles
A game of truth or dare
And I can’t seem to notice
We’re not gettin’ anywhere
I try to show my point of view
But everything is you, you, you
It’s so conceited, so unfair
Your arrogance is my despair
Sympathy, my special treasure
Doesn’t grace your stingy soul
Money, fame, friends for pleasure
Can you keep it in control?
We’re walkin’ round in circles
A game of truth or dare
And I can’t seem to notice
We’re not gettin’ anywhere
Blinded by pompous fantasies
Tangled in yourself
Fail to see reality
In your world of wealth
I try to show my point of view
But everything is you, you, you
It’s so conceited, so unfair
Your arrogance is my despair
