Found God In Her Eyes 

He took me down a road that's a little bit windy

As I sat gazing out the back window, I said “Hey driver, you can drop me off anywhere”

 He took me to a place I had never seen before, but I had been to thousands of times

It felt like I was thousands of miles from home. It wasn't El Dorado

I'm sure it was around the East Side Of Sorrow

My past unfolds in front of my eyes as I watch the moon glow

I remember, I remember everything 

Time Ticking in front of me, my feels as the body of a blue collar Tradesman working Overtime

Thousands of miles from home in Summertime’s Close

I start to think about my life, time is passing everyday before my eyes. 

That was until I found God in her eyes.

I learned that grand things aren't what matter, she prefers things that are worthwhile

Like breathing and chasing and slow dancing and love making and fighting and laughing

Be there for her and be there for God, do the little things. Smaller Acts

Be her Tourniquet, stop her bleeding even if you get blood on yourself 

Bandage up her body and her bones and her bad days too

Because she remembers everything… 

And I know neither of us are Spotless, but I found God in her eyes 

So for once in my life I’m going to see it through
