Lavender skies

And pastel lies

Your world’s in color

I think too much about “the one”

And you think only of her

Maybe I need a

Time machine. Can I

escape to all these

fragments of dreams

But I know

You’re impossible, for me

So I’ll try to not romanticize

Your dark brown eyes

Cuz I have them too

And I know that you’re gonna wait for her

Through the storm,

And the battered, broken blues

Gotta stop

chasing the rainbow through the rain

Cuz my heart’s made of ash

And her scarlet smile made your day

Against my backdrop of grey

Caramel coffee spilt on my blue jeans

What do you see?

A girl who's ‘fraid of love

A girl who's just try'na

Be somebody

To you

So leave her heart marooned

Indifferently broken in two

Cuz beige butterflies are mere moths to you

It’s sad but it’s true

So I’ll try to not romanticize

Your dark brown eyes

Cuz I have them too

And I know that you’re gonna wait for her

Through the storm,

And the battered broken blues

Gotta stop,

Chasing the rainbow through the rain

Cuz my heart’s made of ash

And her crimson smile made your day

What can I say?

So I’ll let my autumn wishes

Disappear

Float away

To an emerald city

You’re two dots in a line

Made together

For infinity

And I’m a moment in time

She’s your eternity

But you are mine

But I can’t help but romanticize

Your dark brown eyes,

but she holds them too

And I know that you’re gonna wait for her

Through the storm,

And you were never mine to loose

Tryna stop,

Chasing your rainbow, through my rain

But my heart’s made of ash

And a glimpse of your smile, made my day

Your world’s in colors

So I’ll just love you from the grey
