Plunging into the ocean's embrace
That day, you leapt into the sea, bidding farewell with a plea,
Leaving fragments, like scattered paper, a broken tapestry,
Allowing the soul to dwell, in eternal disarray,
As waves crashed upon the shore, your love found its own decay.
In a certain year, a certain month, pain engulfed your core,
You took him out like opium, seeking solace in the roar,
The sky, still blue as ever, echoed someone's plea,
Deep in the Pacific, your memories would forever be.
Burning with fervor, exhausted, drained of might,
Mistaking beauty for errors, caught in a blurry sight,
You chased after his essence, unaware of your own flight,
To the mountaintop you ascended, lost in the dizzying height.
Off the cliff, you plunged, shattered into pieces, no respite,
Unwilling to let the bindings of the past reunite,
But the future, ever changing, a constant reprise,
You can't play tricks with time, for it won't compromise.
Yearning to wait, for the ebb and flow, yet still holding him tight,
You dived beneath the surface, where shadows fade from sight,
Jumping into the depths, where secrets remain concealed,
And with each leap, a part of you forever revealed.
Jumping into the sea's embrace, relinquishing control,
Dancing with the waves, surrendering to the eternal roll,
Jumping into the unknown, where destiny unfolds,
A symphony of courage, in a story yet untold.

In the novel "Human Lost," Yozo and Hizuki make a pact to leap into the sea. In Osamu Dazai's portrayal, this act of leaping into the sea represents a profound sense of loneliness and despair, a mad escape from the confines of the soul. To dive into the sea is both wildly insane and intensely romantic. Crossing barren deserts, reaching the end of the road, one takes a leap and plunges into the sea's surface. The frigid waters churn and rush into the mouth, yearning for the soul to unite. I willingly embrace the act of leaping into the sea.
