Empty Walls
It hurts me every time
I say it’s not true
Cause there’s never been anything
That’s meant more to me than you
And every time I close my eyes
You’re right there, in the back of my mind
But you’re always out of reach
Oh, will you always be out of reach?
Maybe the moment I’m waiting for
Is right around the corner, right next door
But I’m tired of waiting for this moment
Oh, when will I just have a moment
For, you and me, me and you
Just living life like we used to
Whenever a door would open
We’d run through
But now I’m just staring at any empty wall
We’re surrounded by empty walls
Waiting for, you and me, me and you
To be able to live like we used to
They told us not to say a word
And we became two caged lovebirds
But as long as we have each other
I’m willing to fight for you, brother
Key in the lock
Not gonna stop
I’ll forgive you now
As long as you let us wow the crowds
When they hear about, you and me, me and you
Living like we used to
Whenever a door would open
We’d run through
We’re staring at an empty wall
We’re surrounded by these empty walls
You built these walls
You built these walls
It’s your fault, it’s your fault
We’re looking at these four corners
Why didn’t you warn us?
We’d be searching for a way out
Trying to find a way to talk about
You and me, me and you
Living like we used to
When it was just
You and me, me and you
Oh, you and me, me and you

Maybe one thing you could do also is to add a little bit more rhyme to it.
Hey, beautiful people! I wrote from the point of view of someone else because I've been going through a tough time and didn't have the heart to write a song about anything too personal right now. I'll let you know if anything I write is about me though. Remember you're loved!
