Piano Notes
Piano notes
wink at me.
They
contemplate.
They
desire.
They
wander,
they sparkle,
they clash.
Night falls.
They glisten like a firecracker,
then rise like fire.
I wish I were music.
I wish I could only rise and cause joy
and sink and cause more beauty.
The piano notes tell a hundred stories.
It breathes on the scale.
It never grows tired of playing under the pressure of the musician’s hands.
I wish I were music. Music is the ocean, I am the sand.
