The Oak Tree
Little oak, little oak
Grow up big and tall
‘Cause even though you take it slow
I know you’ll never fall
Wondrous oak, wondrous oak
Lit up in the sky
When you were struck and had no luck
I knew you’d never die
Grow up oak, grow up oak
I know you’re still alive
You’re just asleep, and I won’t weep
For to the clouds you strive
Sturdy oak, sturdy oak
You have to make it through
Despite your pain all through that rain
Others leaned on you too.
Big strong oak, big strong oak
You’ve passed the hardest test
Of reaching out from a tiny sprout
And becoming the best of the best.
