Special
Special
Many people have told me,
I’m not special at all.
I looked in the mirror and who I saw,
Wasn’t a stranger at all.
I’m not magnificently pretty,
Or any better than the rest.
Some may take pity,
And others just think I’m a pest
I’m not the most athletic,
And I don’t have the best smile.
Some may say I’m pathetic,
And others may think I’m just vile.
I’m not the best dancer,
And I’m not the most likely to succeed.
Some may say I look like someone with cancer,
And others think the cold shoulder is what I should receive.
But special is one thing I know I am.
There is no reason to pout.
Maybe you should think about what you say,
Before it comes out.
