If I could, I would
If I could, I would go to the cliff.
Wind rushing through my long hair.
I would run to the edge.
And maybe just pretend to
Jump
Fly away
Get out
Leave this place.
I can imagine the joy.
Embracing me in its soft arms
And lead me to my destiny.
If I could, I would.
If I could, I would leave my soul in the corner.
I would watch it peacefully.
My eyes never moving.
Then look as I would
Let it die
Rot
Ruin
Kill.
I wouldn’t have to deal with pain.
My heart wouldn’t ache.
I could breathe without hurt
If I could, I would.
If I could, I would run into a field.
Let the peace wash over me.
Carry me to a happier place.
Lying there, I would
Get lost
Be free
Live a
Nice
Life.
My hands brushing the warm wheat
My face collecting the sun
Far away from hatred.
If I could, I would.
If I could, I would dream of hope.
Hope could fix me.
My dream letting go through purple skies.
You will find me there
Loving
Hoping
Aging
Singing
Somehow
Different.
The pink clouds holding me
So I couldn’t fall and fall and fall
I would be safe in my own life.
If I could, I would.
If I could, I would do anything to be…
Different.
