Selfishness, selfishness,
I knew you from the start.
And without hesitation,
I’ve given you my heart.
From early in the morning,
To later in the day,
You were my very best friend,
I’m very proud to say.
You never wandered off too far,
We’ve always been real close.
I knew you’d always be there
When I needed you the most.
Selfishness, you’ve always kept
Me very safe and sound.
So why did you betray me
When I fell, and hit the ground?
