&quot;Imagining the future is a kind of nostalgia&quot;<br /> -John Green (Looking For Alaska)

For some reason, I still
Love what you and I had
Even though it at times
Was pathetic and sad.
It was your fault that we
Went all sour and bad.

For some reason, I still
Deal with you everyday
Even though your lies shine
Through and it's not okay.
I see your covered face
And wish that you would pay.

For some reason, I still
Think about you and her
Even though we both know
You won't be what we were.
She's sick and disgusting
But for that there's no cure.

For some reason, You still
Break me inside and out
Even though it just makes
Me want to scream and shout.
You love this; You hate me;
That's what it's all about.

For some reason, You still
Always laugh in my face
Even though i still care
And hold on just in case.
You hunt me down just to
Hurt me: A wild goose chase.

For some reason, You still
Act like nothing happened
Even though I can tell
That's what caused us to end.
Your still sour and bad
And Satan's your best friend.
