Through the mirror I see a girl
Crying her eyes out, lost in her world
Her makeup is running down her face
I wonder if she feels out of place
Does she have a family of her own?
One that makes her feel not alone?
Does she have the voice to sing?
About why she loved everything?

Through the mirror I see a girl
Trying to find her place in this world
Her mind is filled with all her fears
Her eyes are wet with all the tears
Does she wish she had a dove?
One to have, to hold, and love?
Does she have the will to dream?
Is her creativity bursting at the seam?

Through the mirror I see a girl
Living in her own little world
Does she know to follow her heart?
Mend ones that were ripped apart?
Does she know the beauty in a smile?
One you can see for more than a mile?
Is her life a blessed one?
Having fun until the day is done?

Through the mirror I see a girl
One who fears her own world
Through my teary eyes
I finally realize
Something that’s hard to believe
That girl I see
That girl is me

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem about a girl that has been crying and i guess has a low self-esteem. She is trying to determine who she sees in the mirror.
"Is that girl me?"
