A kiss is like a concerto;
Faster later, but starting slow.
First you look into my eyes,
The sound of violins starts to rise.
Then you move a little closer,
The drum roll sounds the violins over.
Then your lips descend on mine,
The music starts,
The trumpets whine.
The flute keeps tempo on the ground.
The room keeps spinning round and round
The cello plays a little mild.
You touch my face, and I go wild.
A little faster now and then,
A dip, a roll, a twist, a turn.
Sometimes so smooth, I cannot feel
Your lips on mine, like silk on steel.
And just when I feel I'm starting to relax,
Then comes the concerto's climax.
"I love you", you say in a heartfelt voice.
Piano, drums, sax, make a joyful noise!
A hug, a peck before we go.
Now the music's gone low.
You hold me close once more before
The orchestra's members walk out the door.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the end of our presentation.
This kiss, I feel, deserves a standing ovation.
