Masks
I wipe away my tears,
In hopes they aren’t seen by my peers.
I fake a smile,
So people will believe I’m worth while.
I can’t help but hide,
I don’t want them to know all that I’ve cried.

I prefer to hide how I feel. I’m afraid people won’t look at me the same if they saw me without my mask. I don’t like secrets but everyone has them.
