The sun disappeared
Then the leaves started falling

I was inspired by the beginning of autumn. Everyone around me was excited for the beginning, but I couldn't help but remember that summer had to end for autumn to start. As the words began to flow, I found a connection to my own life, as around that time a lot of people who I cared about were removed from my life, some by force and others by choice. The summer was still a time where I was with all of these people that I cared so much about. Instead of the beginning of autumn and the beginning of something new, I felt like I was still a part of the end of summer, and I was still "raking up the leaves".
