They stare at each other,
Brows creasing and mouths moving.
When will this finish?
Thin and narrowed lips,
I watch everything take place.
Is there a way out?
Before it gets worse,
I must get up and step in,
But I can’t take sides.
Suddenly silent,
Their voices stirred no longer,
I can only watch.
