Scape Goat To My Own Existence
Review of scapegoat to my own existence
When I browsed through the poems I came across the poem scapegoat to my own existence by “Cindy Tae” and it really stood out among the rest. It was simple but meaningful it was deep without losing the reader it showed true thought in 3 lines and really amazed me. For whoever read this poem is now empowered by questions and whoever wasn’t as fortunate to read the poem it goes like this:
“without consent, i’m
born daughter of my mother-
somehow it’s my fault.”
This poem made me ask is this about just one experience if so was that experience bad or good? Also, if Cindy enjoy her moms presents, if so always or never? My last question is, is Cindy tying to represent all kids with their moms and their daily fights or just aimed at her own life? Certain lines made me believe certain things and when I read this poem to some of my friends we had some corresponding questions but of course they had questions of their own, but we all agreed that this poem was a very good meaningful poem.
