Favorite Quote:
“They're certainly entitled to think that, and they're entitled to full respect for their opinions... but before I can live with other folks I've got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience.” -HL

The blue sky wavers
On top of my heavy brow
Weights push and press me

So small like a bead.
Shoulders bent low to support
the weight of the world.

A hand reaches out
I take it reluctantly.
My shoulders lifted.

Concentrated eyes
Look toward a kind stranger.
My worries set free.

"I thank you, kind sir"
I say gratefully to him.
The world left to fall.

I've no need for it.
Alone, the stranger and I
Free of worldly needs.

Running without feet.
Spirits soaring in the sky
Never to look back.

This would be my first try at haiku type poems. I made a bunch that connects to each other to tell my version of Atlas and how he carried the world on his shoulders.
