The Dance Eternal

Love is regret.
And attempts to reforge it,
We dance eternal.
Attraction, flirting,
And then it’s the forgetting.
The dance eternal.
Then fail the next try,
To be shocked would be to lie.
They dance eternal.
On and on it spins,
The wheel of love must now go,
I dance eternal.
And soon it’s working,
Maybe I’m understanding,
The dance eternal.
But I should have known,
That happiness is not found
In dance eternal.
And I now regret
That choice of partaking in,
Our dance eternal.
That is the truth
Of what I have found uncouth,
The dance eternal.
