Insomia
Tomorrow is coming.
I need to go to sleep,
but I can’t put my phone down.
Looking at instagram
an hour passes.
I’m still awake.
All of my friends are having fun.
Videos filled with laughter
and photos of forced smiles.
An inescapable illusion
hiding their emptiness behind their screens.
I close my eyes to sleep,
but my thoughts keep me awake.
There is a problem in our society
that needs to change.
And it starts with with me
deleting Instagram.
